Today, we conducted a plantation drive behind the new Vasistha building. The event saw active participation from Ms. Neelam Patil (Climate Educator), our Principal Mrs. B Gayathri Rao, and the science faculty. The drive was conducted keeping in mind the Miyawaki Method. Named after Japanese botanist Akira Miyawaki, this method involves planting two to four types of indigenous trees in every square meter of land. Developed in the 1970s, this approach aims to rapidly densify green spaces, even within limited areas, creating thriving mini-forests that enhance biodiversity and contribute to environmental sustainability.
