Special assembly on World Environment Day

“The World Environment Day” was celebrated with week-long activities, beginning from 1st June and culminating on 5th June, the motto being “Refuse plastic usage by half and to reuse plastic”.

Senior school students performed a “Street play” and a rally in the streets of Udayapalaya, appealing the localities to be aware of the increasing use of the plastics, to crush and dispose the plastic and to reuse and recycle usable plastic.

The play was also performed in the presence of Pujya Gurudev at the Satsang on 3rd June, Sunday and was highly appreciated by the audience.

Middle school students conducted a survey in the adjoining areas.

Primary school Students made beautiful and useful things out of plastic waste.

Pre-Primary students made posters and contributed towards the cause.

We concluded the week with a Special Assembly on World Environment Day. A skit on the theme ‘Beat the plastic pollution’ was enacted for all the students.

The Principal, Mrs. Bharathi Jethwani, addressed the students and exhorted them to strive towards eradicating pollution. The students also took a pledge that they will protect the Mother Nature.
